Ranger Programs
Check at one of the Visitor Centers for the current ranger-led programs offered in Yosemite National Park.
Interpretive programs are offered year-round by National Park Service rangers, concessionaire staff, and park partners. You can obtain a complete schedule for all programs daily at each of the four Visitors' Centers within the Park. The type of program, the time and the length of each activity varies dependent on the time of year and the weather. In addition, check to make sure whether or not pre-registration is required.
Examples of ranger-led activities include
- Nature walks/hikes
- Evening discussions on floods, fires and wildlife
- Photography programs/expeditions
- Winter exploration of the forest
- Audiovisual presentations
- Storytelling
- Musical presentations
Previous topics of walks and talks have included Ansell Adams Photography, Morning Light Photo Walk, Trees in Winter, Wildlife in Winter, Yosemite's Legacy, Yosemite's First People, and Yosemite's Yesteryears.
