Modesto City / County Airport (MOD)

When flying locally into California's smaller airports, the Modesto City/County Airport (MOD) is renowned for superb facilities that accommodate each passenger with a friendly smile and convenience. One major airline makes numerous flights to and from its location, but this gives better access to connector flights for both international and other national flight destinations.

Modesto City/County Airport (MOD) is located in Modesto, California, offering daily flights across California to two major destinations. Due to its size and location, only one airline operates out of its terminal. Flights are fairly frequent and flying there is further accentuated by excellent services and amenities to accommodate even the most discerning person.

The airport is located right at Tenaya Drive and Mitchell Road, and is open daily from 4am to 11pm. Ticket counters only operate from 6am to 8pm. The only airline operating currently out of the airport is United, but friendly staff is always available to ensure as smooth a flight and booking as is possible to all tourists.

The terminal offers free parking services, but drop offs are curbside only and any vehicle parking in the parking lot has a 30 minute limit. The other facilities also include food and concession stands, currency exchange, comfortable waiting areas, a fully serviced information center, car rentals, tourist information and access to the area's YARTS bus services. Another welcomed feature that most travelers also enjoy is the free waiting area Internet services (wireless).

Though the airport is mainly used for civilian traffic, there are smaller private planes stationed there, as well as the odd military ones. Some plane tour operators and a flight school are also available.
