Yosemite National Park may be best known for it waterfalls, but within its boundaries you will be captivated by the lush forests, deep valleys, vast meadows and much, much more. Nearly 95% of the Park is designated as a Wilderness Area. In addition, the majority of the Park's forests are home to ancient giant sequoias. Yosemite National Park has retained its historic character and remains an area providing numerous opportunities for quiet contemplation and peaceful solitude.
