Bridalveil Falls

The glorious Bridal Veil Falls in Yosemite National Park are a favorite amongst locals and tourists alike. The falls can be viewed from several spectacular locations including the Provo Canyon scenic highway 189, from the trail heads above and to the either side of the waterfall or at the base down below.

Bridal Veil Falls is a year round attraction for Yosemite National Park. The beautiful waterfall sits four miles a top Provo Canyon where it topples into a small, chilly swimming pool. The waters finally end their journey at the base of the fall where the water flows swiftly into the Provo River. During the spring, flows are the highest wildflowers abound. However, Bridal Veil Fall's winter sights bring just as much pleasure as they do in the springtime. The ice wall that forms around the waterfall has been dubbed "The Stairway to Heaven" and many sight seers and ice climbers come to enjoy the pleasures of the falls in the colder months.

Along with the many trails and places to stop along the road to gawk at the marvel, there is an aerial tramway that soars overhead for a unique birds eye view. Unfortunately the tram has been closed since 2002 due to a 1997 avalanche.
