When exploring Yosemite National Park and after a long day of hiking, biking, fishing, or swimming, find out where the showers are located and where to do your laundry.

A trip to Yosemite National Park is an amazing experience, with outdoor recreation galore and breathtaking scenic vistas. Roughing it can be a lot of fun, but when it comes time to freshen up or get a laundry done, it’s important to know where to find the facilities you need.

Showers

Within Yosemite National Park, you’ll find showers in Yosemite Valley at Curry Village and Housekeeping Camp. You can also find shower facilities at the Tuolumne Meadows Lodge during the summer months and for limited afternoon hours.

Laundry

The only public coin-operated laundry in the park is at the Housekeeping Camp, in Curry Village.

Outside of Yosemite National Park

In various communities outside of the park, you’ll discover showers and coin laundries at the following locations.

  • El Portal
    El Portal is on the western edge of Yosemite and you can find public pay showers at the Indian Flat RV Park at 9988 Highway 140, El Portal, CA. Telephone number is 209-379-2339. The Yosemite View Lodge has a coin-operated laundry where even non-guests are welcome. They are located at 11136 Highway 140 in El Portal and their phone is 888- 742-4371.
  • Mariposa
    A bit further away in Mariposa is the PD Quick Carwash and Laundromat at 4964 Joe Howard Street in Mariposa and their phone is 209-966-7746.
  • Oakhurst
    South of the park you will find two coin Laundromats in Oakhurst. They are D’s Wash & Dry at 40120 Highway 41 # K with the phone number of 559-683-4141, and Sierra Suds at 40423 California 41, phone 559-683-1464.
  • Lee Vining
    At the Mono Lake Mono Vista RV Park in Lee Vining, you can take a hot shower for a fee. They are located at 57 Beaver Lane in Lee Vining. Their phone number is 760-647-6401. At Lundy Lake (seven miles north of Lee Vining on Highway 395) there is a coin laundry and coin showers.

Many visitors find it best to stay in one of the lodging facilities just outside the park, as these offer all the amenities you could desire and the convenience of being able to clean up and do a laundry.
